Community Resource Support (CRS)

The National Coalition for Social Advancement’s Community Resource Support (CRS) Programs focus on helping community members with pragmatic resources and opportunities construct a collective ethos of altruism.

To lead by example, NCSA allocates proceeds from the community building work of Community Infrastructure Programs to fund our mutual aid, survival essentials, and service programming of the CRS initiative.

WE ARE STILL HERE

The National Coalition for Social Advancement values creating community spaces, connection, education, and action. We understand that community is more than the people we live near; it is who we share effort with.

This on-going community group incorporate the following CRS & ECV initiative derived objectives:

Communal Emotional Processing

Community-focused emotional processing guided by community facilitators that offer skill mastery in Education, Counseling, Journalism, and Humanitarian Studies professions to help maintain a respectful environment.

Community & Relationship Building

Encouraged relationship building between community members to provide a sense of belonging and support.

Community Service Action

Community Service Education and Experiential Learning components guided by facilitators to help participants hold substantive, real connection to the cities in which neighborhoods they live.

Community Aid

A minimum of one-fourth of program proceeds will be given as support-group-directed contribution to those in need. Contributions are discussed as a key part of the experience. Final decision for the placement of the contribution is determined by the vote of the group cohorts for food/supply purchases or direct aid to community member(s).

An additional one-forth of program cost fund NCSA’s mutual aid fund which allows for digital or card-based distribution to recipients.

Groups meet twice per month for large group facilitation.

Group participation cost: $20.00
